Brake system is the core guarantee for the safe operation of warehouse forklift. As a key component of the brake system, the state of the brake pads directly affects the braking performance of the forklift. First, the key points of brake pad replacement
1. Preparation before replacement
Before replacing the brake pads, park the forklift on a flat and stable ground, pull up the parking brake and cut off the power supply, and use a special bracket to support the forklift to ensure that the wheels are suspended and the equipment does not move accidentally. At the same time, prepare suitable new brake pads, special disassembly tools and grease to avoid damage to parts caused by tool discrepancies during operation.
2. Wear degree judgment standard
Regularly checking the thickness of the brake pads is the key to preventing brake failure. Under normal circumstances, when the brake pads are worn to the remaining thickness of less than 1mm, they need to be replaced in time. In addition, if cracks on the surface of the brake pads are found, uneven wear or abnormal abnormal noise during braking, even if the thickness does not reach the critical value, replacement should be considered.

Brake shoes: As the core component of drum braking, long-term friction can cause surface wear. When the wear exceeds one-third of the original thickness, it needs to be replaced, otherwise the braking efficiency will be reduced.
- Brake master pump sealing ring: responsible for sealing the brake fluid. If aging or cracking occurs, it will cause brake fluid leakage, resulting in insufficient brake pressure. Regular inspection and replacement are required.
- Brake pump piston: Long-term exposure to humid environment is prone to rust, which affects the flexibility of piston expansion and contraction. If a card or rust trace is found, it needs to be maintained or replaced in time.
- Brake YouTube connector seals: Failure of the seal will cause brake fluid leakage. It is necessary to regularly check whether there are leakage marks at the joints and replace the aging seals in time.
Regular inspection and maintenance of brake system wearing parts can effectively improve the working safety of forklifts and reduce the occurrence of sudden failures.
