Abnormal power output
The cold storage has been in a low temperature and high humidity environment for a long time, and the most common power abnormalities of forklifts include start-up failure, insufficient power, and sudden battery life. Most of these problems are related to the impact of low temperature on the power battery, and some may also be caused by poor contact caused by condensation at the line interface. During operation and maintenance, priority can be given to checking the battery status and line connection.
Abnormal walking mechanism
Walking abnormalities are mainly walking cards, bad steering, and insensitive brakes. In low temperature environments, the grease of forklift walking parts is easy to solidify, which affects the transmission efficiency. At the same time, the condensate adheres to the brake parts and freezes, which may also lead to a decrease in brake sensitivity. During daily inspections, focus on the lubrication and de-icing of walking parts.
Abnormal control system
Control abnormalities include button failure, unresponsive display screen, and delayed operation instructions. Most of these problems are caused by condensate seeping into the inside of the control panel, resulting in short circuit or poor contact of the circuit. In some cases, it may also be caused by the decrease in sensitivity of electronic components due to low temperature. When investigating, dry the panel before detecting the internal circuit.
Standardized troubleshooting ideas
pre-basic investigation
After encountering a failure, first transfer the forklift to the normal temperature transition area and let it stand for more than 30 minutes until the surface condensate evaporates naturally. Do not disassemble and test directly in the cold storage to avoid more condensate seeping into the parts due to excessive temperature difference. At the same time, it is necessary to confirm whether the power status and operation mode of the forklift are correct to eliminate abnormalities caused by human operation errors.

After eliminating the basic problems, check one by one in the order of the power system, the running mechanism, and the control system. The power system preferentially detects the battery voltage and interface connection status, the running mechanism focuses on detecting the lubrication of the transmission parts and whether the brake parts are frozen, and the control system preferentially detects the sealing of the panel and whether there is a short circuit in the internal circuit. Record the investigation process to avoid missing abnormal points.
Fault verification and protection
Do not immediately put into the cold storage operation after the fault repair, first test the no-load in the room temperature area for more than 15 minutes, confirm that the functions are normal and then gradually enter the low temperature area operation. Follow-up to regularly do special project maintenance for the forklift used in the cold storage, including replacing the low temperature suitable grease, doing a good job of waterproof sealing of the line interface, regularly testing the battery activity, reduce the probability of failure.
