Long-term parking of new energy forklifts, what is the correct maintenance method?

Long-term parking of new energy forklifts, what is the correct maintenance method?(Image1)

New energy forklifts are commonly used as operating equipment in the field of logistics and warehousing. If they need to be parked for a long time due to business adjustments, off-season and other reasons, if no standardized maintenance measures are taken, it is easy to cause problems such as battery power loss, component aging and rust, which will affect subsequent normal use and even shorten the overall service life of the vehicle.

First of all, we must do a good job of pretreatment before parking.

To do a good job in the maintenance of the power system, the power supply is the core component of the new energy forklift. Before long-term parking, the battery should be charged to 60% to 70% to avoid excessive loss of battery cells caused by full power storage, and the battery should not be vulcanized due to power loss. After charging, the total power supply of the vehicle should be disconnected, the negative electrode wiring should be unplugged, and the line should be powered for a long time to avoid running out of power. The remaining power of the battery should be checked regularly every month. When the power is lower than 50%, the battery should be replenished in time to maintain the healthy state of the battery.

To do a good job of cleaning the whole car, thoroughly clean up the dust and stains on the surface of the car body, as well as the residual cargo debris in the gaps of the fork arms and axles, check whether there are bumps on the surface of the car body to remove paint, and timely do anti-rust and refinish treatment to avoid long-term parking rust; at the same time, wipe the operation panel, seats and other interior areas clean, clean up the debris in the cockpit, and avoid mildew and odor problems in humid environments.

Secondly, it is necessary to conduct regular operation and maintenance during the parking period.

It is necessary to conduct routine inspections of core components, check the tire pressure every month, and maintain it within the standard air pressure range stipulated by the manufacturer to avoid deformation and cracking of the tire due to uneven pressure for a long time. Check the hydraulic system pipelines and joints for oil leakage or loosening, and manually test the flexibility of the brake pedal and steering device to avoid long-term stagnation of components.

To choose the right storage environment, try to park the vehicle in a dry, ventilated, rain-proof and sun-proof indoor venue, and do not place it in a humid, open-air or corrosive gas environment to avoid short-circuit lines due to moisture and reduce the aging and cracking of plastic and rubber parts caused by sun exposure. Do not pile flammable and explosive items around the vehicle to eliminate safety hazards.

Finally, do a good job of inspection before re-activation. Before reusing a long-term parked new energy forklift, first check whether the power wiring is intact and not loose. After power on, test whether the lifting, steering, braking and other functions are normal one by one. After confirming that the battery voltage meets the operating standards, first run at low speed and no load for 10 to 15 minutes. After confirming that the operating status of each component is normal, it can be officially put into operation. Doing the above maintenance work in the whole process can effectively reduce the unnecessary losses caused by long-term parking of new energy forklifts, reduce subsequent maintenance costs, and effectively extend the service life of the vehicle.
