In handling operations in warehousing, logistics, and other fields, the selection of forklifts directly affects operation efficiency and operating costs. Many users are unsure between 3-ton diesel forklifts and electric forklifts. Combining the characteristics of the two types of products and the requirements of different working conditions, please refer to the following adaptation suggestions.
First, understand the differences in the core characteristics of the two types of forklifts.
The power output of a 3-ton diesel forklift is stronger, the battery life is not limited by charging conditions, and the adaptability to the working environment is stronger. It can cope with complex outdoor operation scenarios such as uneven road surfaces and rainy days. The disadvantage is that the noise during operation is too large, which will generate exhaust emissions. The subsequent fuel cost is relatively high.
Electric forklifts are powered by electricity, with no exhaust emissions during operation, low noise, higher operation stability, and lower subsequent use costs. However, the battery life is limited by battery capacity, and long-term operation in extreme environments such as stagnant water and low temperature is not recommended. There are certain requirements for charging facilities.
Suggestions for adaptation to different operating conditions.
If it is an outdoor heavy-duty operation scene such as an open-air freight yard, port, mine, etc., the daily operation time is more than 8 hours, and it is often necessary to operate in a non-hardened road surface and rainy environment. It is recommended to choose a 3-ton diesel forklift, which can meet the power requirements of long-term heavy loads. There is no need to worry about mileage anxiety, and the environment is more adaptable.
If it is a closed space operation scenario such as an ordinary indoor warehouse, a food processing workshop, or a medical warehouse, the air quality and noise control requirements are higher, and it is recommended to choose an electric forklift, which will not produce exhaust pollution goods. The low noise characteristics can also reduce the interference to indoor workers.
If it is a mixed indoor and outdoor operation scenario, with moderate daily operation time and good road conditions, it can be selected in combination with the proportion of operations. If the proportion of indoor operations is higher, an electric forklift with basic waterproof performance can be selected. If the proportion of outdoor operations is higher, a diesel forklift that meets local environmental protection emission requirements can be selected.
In addition to working conditions, users can also consider factors such as their own budget, local environmental protection policies, and follow-up maintenance costs to choose a forklift type that better suits their needs.
