In the daily operation of an electric forklift, the filter element is a key component to ensure the cleanliness of the system and maintain the stability of the equipment. It can filter impurities in media such as oil and air to prevent contaminants from entering the core operating parts. Once the filter element is blocked, it will not only affect the normal performance of the forklift, but also cause a series of potential failures.
Filter element clogging will first directly weaken the power output of the forklift. When the intake or oil filter element is clogged, the medium flow is blocked, and the power system cannot obtain sufficient clean oil or air, resulting in weak acceleration of the forklift, reduced operating efficiency, and difficulty in meeting the needs of heavy load or continuous operation. Secondly, clogged filter elements will exacerbate the wear of core components. Unfiltered impurities enter the engine, hydraulic system and other parts with the medium, which will accelerate the friction between components, shorten the service life of components, and increase the cost of later maintenance. In addition, filter element clogging will also increase energy consumption. In order to maintain normal operation, the system needs to consume more energy to overcome the resistance of medium circulation, which indirectly increases the operating cost.
In the maintenance specification of BYD electric forklift, the filter element replacement needs to be combined with the dual indicators of operating mileage and use time. Under normal circumstances, the conventional filter element should be replaced every 500 hours of forklift operation or about 10,000 kilometers, which can be adjusted according to the actual use environment. If the forklift operates in dusty, humid and other harsh environments for a long time, the loss speed of the filter element will be accelerated, and the replacement cycle needs to be appropriately shortened. It is recommended to check and replace every 300 hours or 6000 kilometers. In addition, when the forklift has a significant drop in power, turbid oil, and the alarm system prompts abnormal filter elements, the filter element needs to be replaced in time to avoid the expansion of the failure.
Regular inspection and replacement of the filter element is an important part of the maintenance of the electric forklift. Users should strictly follow the maintenance specifications and adjust the replacement time flexibly according to the actual use situation to ensure that the filter element is always in an effective working state, thus ensuring the stable operation of the forklift and prolonging the overall service life of the equipment.
