The core components of procurement costs
infrastructure cost
The cost of basic equipment for high-gantry electric forklifts accounts for about 70% of the total procurement expenditure. Due to the need to meet the lifting demand of ten meters or even higher, the strength of the gantry structure, the stability of the hydraulic system, and the design of the body weight are all higher standards. The cost of related hardware will be much higher than that of ordinary electric forklifts.
Customized and supporting service costs
If you need to adapt special operation scenarios to install attachments and protective configurations, or need to customize fork size and lifting height, additional transformation costs will be incurred. In addition, door-to-door installation, operator training, first-year basic maintenance and other supporting services usually account for 10% to 15% of the total procurement expenditure.
Long-term operation and maintenance cost details
Routine maintenance and consumables costs
Under normal operating conditions, the annual cost of routine maintenance and replacement of wearing parts is about 3% to 5% of the purchase price, mainly including battery loss replenishment, tire replacement, hydraulic oil filter replacement, regular safety inspection and other items. The higher the work intensity, the more obvious the increase in this part of the cost.
Maintenance and hidden operating costs
When the daily maintenance is in place, the cost of failure maintenance in the first three years of the equipment is extremely low. After more than five years of use, the circuit and structural parts gradually age, and the maintenance cost will increase year by year. In addition, there are hidden costs such as energy consumption and downtime losses. The higher the energy efficiency and the stronger the reliability of the model, the lower the long-term hidden cost.
When purchasing high-gantry electric forklifts, enterprises cannot simply refer to the initial purchase price. They need to calculate the total investment in the entire life cycle based on their own operating intensity and operating scenarios in order to select the most suitable and cost-effective equipment and ensure the efficient operation of warehousing operations.
