In the production scene of a starch processing plant, starch dust is a combustible dust. When the concentration reaches the explosive limit, it is easy to cause safety accidents in case of open flames or electrical sparks. Therefore, special equipment with explosion-proof performance must be used for material handling in such places. Recently, we photographed the entire operation process of a 1.5-ton three-point explosion-proof forklift in a starch processing plant under hazardous conditions, and we will share it with you in detail.
The real scene is located in the raw material transfer workshop of the processing plant. Bagged starch raw materials are stacked in the workshop. The channel width is narrow, and there is a certain concentration of starch dust in the air for a long time, which belongs to a typical explosive hazardous environment area. The main task of the operation is to transport raw materials from the loading and unloading area to the storage area, and the whole process requires multiple turns and narrow sections.
The 1.5-ton three-point explosion-proof forklift has a compact body design, a smaller turning radius, and is very flexible in turning and steering in narrow passages, without the need to reserve too much space, which effectively improves the handling efficiency in the workshop. At the same time, the electrical system and hydraulic system of the forklift are designed with explosion protection, and all parts that may generate sparks are treated with explosion protection to avoid dust explosions caused by sparks generated by equipment operation, which meets the safety requirements of dangerous working conditions.
During the operation, the driver strictly followed the operating specifications of the hazardous place, wore a dust mask and anti-static work clothes, and quickly checked the explosion-proof parts and braking system before the forklift started. When handling the bagged raw materials, the fork was smoothly inserted into the bottom of the tray, slowly lifted, and maintained a uniform speed during the driving process to avoid the raw materials falling and raising more dust. The whole operation was standardized and orderly.
