The food workshop production environment is special, there are dust pollution such as flour and sugar powder, water splashes after cleaning or site disinfection, and even occasional equipment flushing needs, so there are clear requirements for the protective performance of electric forklifts. As the main equipment for food workshop handling, the dustproof and waterproof configuration of the ride-on lithium electric forklift cannot only stay at the basic level, and needs targeted design.
The first is a clear standard for the level of protection. Food workshop-specific ride-on lithium forklifts usually follow the relevant protection level specifications. Core components such as drive motor electronic control module battery packs will have higher protection levels. Generally speaking, the electrical interface buttons of the body exposed to the outside will be at least resistant to dust intrusion and water splashing in any direction; while key power and control components such as motor electronic control battery packs will be more stringent and can cope with a certain degree of low-voltage injection or short-term immersion. Of course, the length and depth of immersion must meet the specifications. It is still necessary to avoid long-term water immersion in daily use.
Next is the core structural protection configuration. In terms of dust, the body gap of the special seat-mounted lithium battery forklift in the food workshop will be sealed. For example, the gap of the door frame is closed with dust-proof rubber strips or brushes to prevent dust from entering the lubrication part of the roller chain inside the door frame, reduce card wear caused by dust accumulation, and avoid lubricating grease contamination of food. The doors and windows of the cab are made of double-layer or thicker sealing rubber strips, which can effectively block the dust in the workshop from entering after closing, while maintaining a clear driving field of vision. The surface of the fork is generally treated with anti-skid or anti-corrosion and anti-rust treatment, and some will also be wrapped with special food-grade protective covers to prevent metal chips from falling or the original material from contaminating the food.
For water stains and moisture, the battery pack of the food workshop's special ride-on lithium forklift will adopt an integrated sealing design, and the battery management system will also be tightly wrapped in a waterproof and dustproof shell to avoid water vapor entering and affecting battery performance or causing safety hazards. The electrical wiring at the bottom of the body will use a waterproof interface and a flame-retardant and waterproof wiring harness sleeve, and a waterproof sealant will be applied to the interface to prevent water stains from penetrating from the interface and causing a short circuit. Steering wheels, drive wheels and other walking parts will use waterproof bearings and sealing covers to prevent water vapor and dust from entering the bearing interior and prolong the service life of the walking parts.
