Low temperature ride-on electric forklift is one of the core equipment of cold storage storage and handling. Choosing the appropriate configuration can not only ensure operation efficiency, but also prolong the service life of the equipment. The following is explained from several key aspects.
The first is the battery system configuration. The discharge capacity of ordinary lithium-ion batteries will be significantly reduced in low temperature environments, so special lithium batteries with low temperature resistance must be selected. Such batteries usually use special battery cell formulations and thermal insulation designs, which can maintain stable output power and reasonable battery life at temperatures of minus 20 degrees Celsius or even lower. At the same time, the charge and discharge management system of the battery also needs to have low temperature adaptability, which can automatically adjust the current and voltage during low temperature charging to avoid irreversible damage to the battery.
The second is the walking drive system and tire configuration. The cold storage floor is mostly smooth epoxy floor or steel plate, and there may be a small amount of condensate or thin ice, so the walking drive system needs to have better anti-skid control functions, such as anti-skid differential lock, to prevent the wheel from slipping and causing work interruption or safety hazards. In terms of tires, ordinary rubber tires will become hard and brittle at low temperatures, wear faster and lack grip. Low temperature anti-skid rubber tires or polyurethane tires should be selected. These tires can still maintain good elasticity and friction in low temperature environments and adapt to the use conditions of the cold storage floor.
The next step is the electrical system and structural material configuration. The cables, joints, controllers and other components of the entire electrical system need to have low temperature resistance, moisture resistance, and anti-condensation properties to prevent condensation short circuit or material embrittlement and fracture caused by temperature changes. Body structural materials should choose low temperature resistant steel or alloy materials with high strength and good toughness to avoid deformation or cracking at low temperatures. The cockpit part needs to be equipped with a sealed and thermal insulation design to reduce heat loss. At the same time, it can be equipped with windshield defogging devices, seat heating devices, etc., to improve the comfort of operators and ensure the mental state of operation.
The last is the maintenance convenience configuration. The maintenance of equipment in the cold storage environment is more difficult, so the convenience of maintenance should be considered when choosing the configuration, such as the quick change design of the battery, which is convenient for quick replacement when the battery is low, and there is no need to wait for a long time to charge. The inspection port of key parts of the body should also be designed reasonably, so that the operator can quickly perform daily inspections and simple repairs in a low temperature environment.
When selecting a low-temperature ride-on electric forklift, factors such as the actual temperature, operating frequency, cargo weight, and channel width of its own cold storage should be taken into account, and the above configuration points should be comprehensively considered to choose the equipment that best suits its own needs.
