Explosion-proof forklifts are special operating equipment, and their operators need to meet strict qualification conditions to ensure the safety compliance of the operation process.
In terms of operator qualification requirements, first of all, they must meet their age and physical conditions. They must be at least 18 years old and in good health. They do not have any diseases and physiological defects that prevent them from engaging in special operations, such as color blindness, hearing impairment, and other problems that may affect their judgment. They do not meet the requirements for employment. They also need to conduct regular health checks to ensure that their physical condition is suitable for the explosion-proof working environment.
Secondly, it is necessary to hold a valid special operation qualification certificate, which needs to be obtained through a formal training and assessment process. The assessment content covers various aspects such as explosion-proof knowledge and forklift operation skills. After the certificate expires, it is necessary to participate in the review in time to ensure that the operation ability meets the latest safety standards.
In addition, pre-job and regular training is also a necessary condition. Before taking up the post, you need to receive targeted explosion-proof forklift special project training, including explosion-proof principles, equipment structure, emergency response methods, etc., to help operators familiarize themselves with equipment characteristics and operational risks; daily need to regularly participate in retraining, timely update safety knowledge, adapt to the needs of different operating scenarios.
Safe operating practices are also crucial, and comprehensive preparations need to be made before operation. Operators should carefully check the explosion-proof forklift, including the integrity of explosion-proof components, the sensitivity of the braking system, the stability of the steering system, the status of the tires, etc., and confirm that the equipment is not faulty before starting. At the same time, check the operation area to ensure that there is no accumulation of flammable and explosive materials, no obstruction, and good ventilation conditions, in line with explosion-proof operating environment standards.
During the operation, it is necessary to strictly follow the operation points, control the speed smoothly when driving, avoid sudden acceleration, sudden braking or sharp turns, and ensure the stability of the forklift; when handling goods, make sure that the goods are placed smoothly, the weight does not exceed the rated load of the forklift, and overloading operations are strictly prohibited; always pay attention to the surrounding personnel and equipment, maintain a safe distance, and avoid collisions; it is strictly forbidden to use non-explosion-proof tools in the explosion-proof area, and do not disassemble the explosion-proof parts of the equipment at will to prevent potential safety hazards.
After the operation, it is necessary to do a good job of finishing the work, park the forklift in the designated safe area, pull up the handbrake, turn off the power supply, and clean up the debris and oil stains on the surface of the equipment. Record the operation of the equipment and any abnormal problems that occur during the operation in a timely manner, and give feedback to the management personnel to ensure the safety of the subsequent operation of the equipment.
