In the warehousing logistics and production handling scenarios, the demand for carton handling without pallets is increasing. As a special accessory, the electric forklift carton clip can directly clamp the carton to complete the handling and reduce the cost of using the pallet. In order to ensure the stable operation of the equipment, it is necessary to strictly follow the standard installation and adaptation process.

Preparation before installation

Before installation, three core preparations need to be made: first, check the interface parameters of the forklift and the carton clip, confirm that the size of the attachment seat and the hydraulic interface specifications match the forklift, and avoid failure to install due to parameter discrepancies; second, prepare special tools, including torque wrenches, sleeve wrenches, sealants, etc., and check the integrity of the carton clip accessories, such as fixing bolts, gaskets, hydraulic joints, etc.; third, do a good job of safety protection, park the forklift on a flat ground, pull up the parking brake and cut off the power supply to prevent the equipment from starting accidentally during installation.

Standardized installation process

1. Positioning and docking: Lift the carton clip to the forklift attachment installation area, and slowly adjust the position to accurately align the mounting hole of the carton clip with the mounting hole of the forklift attachment seat to ensure smooth docking without deviation.

2. Fix and lock: Use matching bolts to pass through the installation hole, put on the gasket and tighten it with a torque wrench according to the specified torque. Pay attention to tighten it evenly diagonally multiple times to avoid deformation of parts due to uneven local force.

3. Hydraulic connection (if applicable): If the carton clip is hydraulically driven, connect the hydraulic pipeline to the hydraulic interface of the forklift, clean the interface dust before connection, and check the pipeline seal after installation to ensure no leakage.

4. Power-on inspection: After completing the mechanical fixation and hydraulic connection, restore the power supply of the forklift, and preliminarily test whether the power supply or hydraulic path of the carton clip is normal.

III. Key points of adaptation and debugging

After the installation is completed, it is necessary to carry out targeted debugging to ensure the suitability of handling: first, test the opening and closing action, operate the forklift control handle, and observe whether the opening and closing process of the carton clip is smooth, whether there is a card or abnormal sound; second, adjust the clamping force, according to the material, thickness and weight of the carton, by adjusting the hydraulic valve or electronic control parameters, set the appropriate clamping force, not only to ensure that the carton does not slip, but also to avoid excessive clamping resulting in carton damage; third, adapt the carton size, according to the daily handling carton specifications, adjust the opening and closing range of the carton clip to ensure that different sizes of cartons can be clamped stably; fourth, on-site trial handling, select cartons of different weights for actual handling tests, check the stability of the carton clip during lifting and moving, and confirm that there is no loosening or displacement.

IV. Precautions for daily maintenance

In order to prolong the service life of the carton clip, it is necessary to do a good job of daily maintenance: regularly check the fastening state of the fixing bolts, and conduct a torque re-inspection at least once a month; check the hydraulic pipeline for leakage and wear, and replace the aging seals in time; regularly add grease to the movable parts of the carton clip, such as the rotating shaft and clamping arm, to reduce wear and tear; formulate the maintenance cycle according to the frequency of use, and shorten the maintenance interval under high-intensity operation scenarios. If any abnormalities are found, such as action cards and insufficient clamping strength, stop the machine in time for inspection and maintenance.
