The cold storage operating environment is characterized by low temperature, high humidity, and compact space. As the core handling equipment of cold chain storage, the load selection directly affects the operation efficiency and equipment service life. For two common cold storage special electric forklifts, ECB16S and CPD25, please refer to the following points to complete the load selection.
Core requirements for forklift load in cold storage operation
The rated load of a forklift at room temperature cannot be directly applied to the cold storage scenario. Due to the influence of the low temperature environment, the battery discharge efficiency of the forklift will decrease, and the power output performance will be attenuated to a certain extent. The actual carrying weight will be slightly lower than the nominal rated value. Therefore, sufficient load redundancy needs to be reserved during selection to avoid long-term overload operation of the equipment and shorten the service life.
Suitable load scenarios for the two models
ECB16S selection adaptation
The rated load of this model is 1.6 tons, suitable for small cold storage, community front warehouse and other narrow channel operation scenarios, if the daily single handling cargo weight is concentrated in the 1.2 tons to 1.5 tons range, and the operating channel width is less than 2.5 meters, choose this model to meet the needs, the compact body can also adapt to the access requirements of compact cargo space, and the steering flexibility is higher.
CPD25 selection adaptation
This model has a rated load of 2.5 tons, making it suitable for medium and large cold storage, cold chain transit warehouses, and other heavy-duty operation scenarios. If the daily weight of a single load of goods is concentrated in the range of 2 tons to 2.3 tons, and it needs to complete long-distance transshipment and high-level shelf access operations, choose this model to be more suitable. It can still maintain a stable load capacity after low temperature attenuation, and its load-bearing performance is more reliable.
General precautions for load selection
Before selecting a model, it is necessary to count the single maximum handling weight of daily operations, and reserve at least 20% of the load allowance on this basis to cope with the performance degradation in extreme low temperature environments. At the same time, it is also necessary to combine the operation channel width, shelf height, operation frequency and other parameters to make comprehensive judgments to avoid single reference load parameters leading to unsuitable selection and affecting the efficiency of subsequent operations.
