How to choose BYD CPD35 and ECB35? Differences between two 3.5-ton forklifts

How to choose BYD CPD35 and ECB35? Differences between two 3.5-ton forklifts(Image1)

Many warehousing and production enterprises with medium and heavy material handling needs often encounter the dilemma of choosing between CPD35 and ECB35 models when screening 3.5-ton electric handling equipment. The two models have the same rated load and similar basic core parameters, making it difficult for many new users to quickly identify the model that suits their actual needs.

Key Differences in Applicable Scenarios

Indoor closed scene operation requirements

The CPD35 model has a smaller steering radius and narrower traffic width requirements under low lift conditions. It is more suitable for intensive high-shelf storage scenarios where the channel width is generally less than 3 meters. The noise control performance during operation is better, and long-term operation in a closed warehouse will not cause too much interference to the surrounding duty personnel.

Outdoor semi-open scene operation requirements

The ECB35 model has a higher chassis clearance from the ground, and the body protection level is suitable for outdoor factory transfer scenarios with dusty and occasional water accumulation. Even when driving on non-paved short-distance roads, it can maintain stable passability, making it more suitable for heavy-duty transfer operations in and outside the factory.

Differences in core configuration usage

Power output performance

There are minor differences in the power parameters of the two models. The CPD35 is more inclined to the smoothness of the lifting action, and the variable speed transition during the lifting process is smoother. It is not easy to cause the problem of goods shaking during high-level pickup, and it is more friendly to the handling of fragile parts and high-value goods. The low-speed torque output of the ECB35 is more abundant. When encountering the scene of heavy loading on the ramp, the power response is more direct, and there will be no power connection delay.

Energy storage configuration difference

The standard battery capacity of the CPD35 is suitable for medium and small-scale warehousing scenarios with an average daily operating time of no more than 6 hours, and the charging speed is faster and the flexibility of scattered replenishment is higher. The standard battery capacity of the ECB35 is larger, and it can support continuous full-load operation for more than 8 hours under full power, which is more suitable for high-frequency operation production lines with two shifts.

Purchase reference points

When making decisions, users should not only refer to a single parameter of rated load, but also prioritize the proportion of their main operating scenarios. If more than 90% of the operations are concentrated in indoor narrow-channel warehousing, CPD35 is preferred. If the proportion of outdoor transshipment across the factory area exceeds 30%, ECB35 is preferred. Combined with their own daily operating hours and budget range, they can choose the most suitable model.
